Colorado Wildlife Up Close

Posted by Roger Rinesmith under: Colorado Living.

Living in Colorado, we often see wild life when we are driving up in the mountains or in one of the forested areas. Recently, however, we’ve been seeing more and more wild life in the city to include coyotes, skunks, and raccoon — and once we even saw a bear. Just a few weeks ago, we saw a group of deer just meandering down our sidewalk. It was hunting season and we do have a hunting permit; and even though Colorado does have a law permitting a home owner to defend their property, we are sure that it doesn’t apply to deer! :)

Take your Son (in-Law) Out to the Ballgame!

Posted by Roger Rinesmith under: Family; Roger; Carol; Jon; Travel; Sports.

There are few things better than baseball in August — except for sharing it with your son and your son-in-law. Nothing better than a warm August afternoon in Colorado with baseball, family and friends.

Nothing better except for sharing that warm August afternoon in Colorado at a baseball game with your son, your son-in-lawn and the love of your life sitting next to you and enjoying the game.

Nothing better except for sharing that warm August afternoon in Colorado at a baseball game with your son, your son-in-lawn and the love of your life — AND a post game concert featuring Steven Curtis Chapman. Our family loves Steven’s music and now we love and respect him as well. This guy loves the Lord, his family and is about as genuine as they come. If you are interested, we have about 30 photos from the concert on our home server. Send us an email and we’ll send you the link or if you think you might know it, the pics are located at “our home server url/scc”

Nothing better except for sharing that warm August afternoon in Colorado and having the Rockies win the game. Okay, well you can’t have everything! The Rockies lost in a high scoring game.

That’s the nice thing about baseball, you can enjoy it even if the home team doesn’t win. So, take your son (or your son-in-law) as well as your wife and daughters out to the ‘ol ball game!
